An interesting view on the bots used to search for copyright violators & child pornography on the web – and then automatically issue subpoenas. But when you read further and see how badly it is being done… well, it’s just insulting.

“Enemy Combatants” and “The War on Terror”

I’ve been conflicted over the idea of the President of the United States being able to declare a U.S. Citizen an “enemy combatant” and hold him/her without the “Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus.” It bothered me so much that I decided to look into it myself.

I’d be all for the idea of universal ID if it weren’t for the fact that our government is INCOMPETENT when it comes to doing these sorts of things PROPERLY, never mind the fact that I wouldn’t trust them with that kind of power/information in the first place.
