Gussy and Betsy are getting along much, much better these days. The other day, I caught the two of them just sitting by their food bowls, with their little legs tucked up underneath their bodies, relaxed as can be.
Then, yesterday, I caught them in this position:
Well, they’re almost snuggling. Gussy had both ears down when I saw them, but at the last moment he perked up one ear to see (or rather, to hear) what I was doing. I’ve been trying to take photos of the bunnies without using the flash – it results in a much better, warmer, higher-quality picture when I do – but it’s hard to get the camera steady with skittish bunnies.
And just for good measure, here’s a picture of Betsy all stretched out in her favorite spot – by the food bowls, of course.
She’s a very relaxed bun, though she’s still skittish. She seems quite comfortable in her surroundings, but she’ll still jump at my slightest movement (sometimes). Weird bunny. I think she still hates me for making her get into the car carrier and for taking her to the vet twice in such a short period of time (3 days). Hopefully she’ll get over it soon, and she’ll let me pet her… we’ll see!
UPDATE: You can follow the adventures of Gus and Betsy now on their own blog, The Life and Times of Bunnies!
What a cute chunky butt! If only she wouldnt chew holes in the carpet…
Destruct-0-bunny!
Can you post this in your blog, I realise its slight OT from what you usually blog, but if we can draw other peoples attention to it, maybe we can get the poor baby the medical attention it needs/deserves.
Bunny Cruelty Case – Your Help Needed
I came across this link today while looking at buns I want to adopt (but cant, already have 2!). I am not going to post the details of what happened to this poor little bunny called Phoenix, because I know that it really upsets me (does crying at your desk at work indicate youre upset!!!???) and I dont want to catch others by surprise and upset them – but what I am going to do is post the link of where the info is at:
http://www.saveabunny.com/specialneeds2.php?id=589
or if that doesnt work go to http://www.saveabunny.com and click the circle with Phoenix on it.
I am not affiliated with them (I am in MA!), but it broke my heart, I dont have much money but even I felt compelled to donate. Its up to you, but I figured you all are so kind, at least you can think of the poor little bun.
Poor baby, I wish I could take bring him home and cuddle him (and give him lots of banana of course!)
