The “Tower of Power,” as we used to call our entertainment center back in college, has been re-born. With the addition of a Jensen RF Modulator ($8, which fixes the brightness problem mentioned in this post) and a Cyberhome CH-DVD 320, the Tower of Power was back in business. As an added bonus, this DVD player doesn’t produce the annoying “humming” that the old one did (a problem with grounding in this old house), so it can play music CDs without forcing me to unplug the cable to stop the hum. Therefore, the old 5-disc CD changer (a $99 Radio Shack special) could be discarded as well.
