What is it about this post that attracts so much comments spam? Almost every day I have to moderate a new comment as “spam” for that post. What’s so special about it?
You wouldn’t think it, but comment spam is a big problem – and not just for me; it’s a big problem for many bloggers, especially the higher-profile ones. A few automated scripts is all it takes to flood your blog with crap comments that contain misspelled names of drugs, links to poker sites, and porn.
Thank goodness WordPress has good controls for managing comments – and comment spam.
