So, I had my mom over for dinner tonight – for tacos – and it was nice to have someone to talk to for a while. It can get lonely with just the bunny to keep me company.
However, I made a startling discovery tonight – Gussy is a BOY!
Here’s how I found it out: I was lying on the floor, trying to get Gussy – or Gus – to come out & play, when I noticed something… and I think everyone knows what it was I saw. A closer inspection proved my point – Gussy is most definitely a boy bunny! Which explains the territorial behavior – the peeing on the bed & so forth. Yikes!
(I would like to point out at this point that it was the vet who told us Gus was a girl. Amanda originally thought he was a boy; hence the “Gus” part of her/his name.)
So our naughty bunny is a naughty boy bunny… who knew!
Another discovery, although not made tonight, is that it wasn’t that crappy DVD player I bought that was defective – it’s something else in the “tower of power.” The other night I went to put a DVD in my Playstation 2 (a region 1 DVD, of course) and the same symptom occurred that made me return the other one – the picture went from being very bright to very dim, over the course of about 10 seconds. I can’t figure out what’s causing the problem, but the only thing I can think of is our old, broken VCR player. We only have it because our TV has only a coaxial input – and everything else uses component video (the red, white, & yellow cables for right, left, and video signals). So we need the VCR to act as an “adapter,” or as it’s known in the industry as an “RF modulator.”
Bugger me.
I could go buy an RF modulator from Radio Shack, but at $35, I can’t justify the expense right now (and isn’t that sad?). So I’m left without any means to watch DVDs.
So – the bunny is a boy and my “tower of power” is causing weird brightness issues with DVD playback (and, interestingly, ONLY DVD playback… cable TV is unaffected).
Whod’ve thunk it?
Im away for 7 days and you turn my cute bunny girl into a bunny boy?? WTF
Ok so that weird brightness issue have with your vcr is a pirating program in your dvd’s its put there so that you cannot make vhs copies of dvd…. damn bastards… unfortunately the only way around said issue is the RF Modulator, or a newer Televison. Sorry Keith, but until you do one or the other you will be doomed to your issue. I will however do some research to see if i can find a way to back door your wiring to save you the cost increase of said RF Modulator.
Pirating program, eh? Interesting – especially since it wasn’t there before (and the issue even occurs with my PS2). Well, I suppose it’s about time I got a new TV anyway…
