So we’re at Filene’s today, getting some stuff for when Amanda goes back home next week (shirts for her dad), and we see that this Keurig single-serving coffee maker is on sale for $99. Now, Amanda has had her eye on this thing for nearly a year (it was originally $200+) and has been pining for it for a long time. So, given the price, we decided to pick it up.
We had to move the microwave to make room for it (there are only a few 3-prong grounded outlets in this old house), which is also why it’s next to my electric shaver, but… there it is. It uses little “pods” instead of packets, and you can get them from many different coffee makers (our favorite is Green Mountain Coffee), which is one of the features we liked about it. Other single-serving coffee makers kind of tie you to one manufacturer, which isn’t much fun.
So, now we can make a cup of coffee whenever we like. Cool, eh?
