Over the weekend we went to my mom’s house to do some laundry (cheap as free!). We took Gussy, so he could get some fresh air, and he certainly got fresh air – and a lot of exercise!
Here’s gussy relaxing by George (the piggie) in the yard. Such a sleepy bunny!
I let Gussy out of the cage for a bit (on his leash) to explore the back yard. He decided (being the fearless bunny that he is) to go beyond the yard and into the woods a bit. Gussy moves fast!
So he’s out in the woods with me, running this way and that, rubbing his chin on everything in sight (or smell). He certainly seemed to be enjoying himself!
In the soft ground near the edge of the yard, Gussy decided that he wanted to dig a little trench. Such a silly bunny!
He did get a bit dirty, though. He wanted to lie in the trench he dug to cool off, I think. It was quite hot out that afternoon.
Good work, bunny – you dug a hole to lie in!
In the end, I had to pick Gussy up to get him out of the woods. He was going too far back. It was HOT… and humid… and the mosquitoes were fierce!
What a cute bunny! He’s much better about being held now, which is a good thing for my forearms. (His claws are quite sharp. “He’s got huge, sharp… he can leap about… just look at the bones!” /month python reference.)
I’ve got some videos, too, but those will have to wait – even without sound they can be quite large, and I need to compress them first. So instead, here’s some other, older pics of the bunny.
Amanda bought him this toy table – a small table with lots of rope & colorful wooden pieces hanging from it. He hopped up on it to eat some hay that I had left there for him.
The last time I brought Gussy down to the office, he made himself quite at home, as you can see here. Too bad I can’t bring him down more often (he likes to leave pellets in Tom’s office, and Tom doesn’t like that).
So, that’s all the bunny pics I have for now. I’ve gotta sign off and go brush Gussy – he’s shedding at the moment – so, goodnight!
