Spam is a serious problem. For example, one of the user’s of StarKeith.net shut down their email address here because they were getting so much spam. Unfortunately, the spam kept coming – filling the account past it’s quota and blocking up the mail server’s emergency queue (or “buffer”).
All this happened in a relatively short amount of time. And to put it in perspective, users here have a 20 MB quota.
That’s a LOT of spam.
So, I’m currently experimenting with the “site-blackhole” alias – a.k.a. /dev/null/.
We’ll soon see how well it works out. Heh heh heh… *evil grin*
