A dragon, a fairy, and a wizard

A dragon, a fairy, and a wizard came to play
on the sun-drenched top of a hill one day.
The dragon took boulders in his claws,
and tossed them and caught them in his jaws.
The fairy took dew drops, and pollen from flowers
and colored the wind with her natural powers.
The wizard rode a cloud up into the sky,
and he yelled, and he jumped; they thought he would die.
But at the last moment, he swooped and he swayed,
and he laughed at his friends and told them not to be afraid.
When the sun sat down on a distant hill
the three friends decided they’d had their fill.
They waved to the sun, and then to the moon,
and the fairy said “summer days are over too soon!”
