A wise bunny (probably me) once said: “Happiness is a clean litter box.”
So true:
Yes, I do love a nice clean litter box – but then, who wouldn’t?
Of course, my enjoyment of a clean litter box can only last so long. Eventually Betsy will jump in (while I’m still in here!) and try to push me out of the way so she can use the box (for its named purpose). Then, inevitably, on the 2nd day Betsy will get the urge to dig in the litter box, scattering the nice clean litter all over the place – and after that, it’s never quite the same (even though dad does usually come by and clean up Betsy’s mess).
Still, it’s nice while it lasts. Dad tends to think that I’m kind of weird for liking to lay in my clean litter box – but I think that’s just because he’s never tried it, so he doesn’t understand how nice it is.
Do any other bunnies enjoy lounging in freshly cleaned litter boxes?

Hef has one of those triangle litter pans so he’s never tried. Maybe he is missing out…
Absolutely. Pink, Peaches and Elvis crowd into a single box about the size of the one you’re lying in, Gus, and everyone goes to sleep for a while. Then someone wets the bed and they all hop out.
I hear ya Gus, I wish I could sleep the litterbox when it’s newly cleaned but Daisy jumps in as soon as it’s in and marks it. *sigh* But then again she digs out the entire contents clean or dirty every night so I have to sit in a wet slippery litterbox until mom comes home. -Timmy
We love to soil a clean litter box!!! It’s cleanliness never lasts more than 5 min but it’s great while it lasts. Also we get very disconcerted WHILE it’s being cleaned. Hrmph. Can’t mom get us a clean litter box without taking it out of the cage and moving things around and emptying it and refilling it? That doesn’t sound so hard, does it?
We like multiple litter boxes and show our human this by peeing always in one place. If she moves the boxes then we pee the old place too! Finally she’ll get a new box. We are four rabbits, but we have 6 litter boxes! Of course the one everybun likes is the little old warped thing from rabbits past…….
We enjoy pulling the pile of hay all over the litter, then laying on that. But also pooping on it. So I don’t think this is the same….
I loves me a clean litter box!
My Dirk loves to stretch out in the litterbox. He says it’s a good place to get some thinking done.
Oh yeah! Buttons and Skittles live in theirs… speshially if there is fresh hay! Also like to follow me while I clean and refill it, and then jump in for a ride back to the bunny area! Skittles also likes digging and kicking all the hay and wood shaving out across the floor too though. Not as cute!
